Frequent Asked Questions

What is the Pre-Camp Evaluation ?
The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:

1. We will give you an introduction to the Rialto Wellness Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review your medical history.

2. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. The actual measurements (number of inches) don't matter. We want to know how much you improve during the camp. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.

3. We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a 3-8% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks! This is common.

4. You will receive your Welcome Packet and Boot Camp T-shirt.

5. See you at camp!

What do I need to bring to camp?

You will need to bring one set of 5 - 8 lb. hand weights and an exercise mat. We do not recommend yoga mats. You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp (support your lifestyle and get a 20 ounce Camelback hydration system, not mandatory). Optional items are a hand towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in the winter. Dress in a layered fashion...even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!  Running shoes, loose, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen in the summer.

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?

They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump
start their fitness and wellness program. Some exercise experience is needed to ensure your safety and a better flow of class.

Is there a refund policy?

If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us one week prior to your session start date.  However, we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.

How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp. Remember, everyone is different! It's not a competition, so focus on your individual results.

What will I do after camp is over?

You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of the campers return for a second and even third camp.

What’s a daily workout session like?

No workout session is repeated during your four weeks of training. We keep your interest and your curiosity levels high in anticipation of the workouts. When you arrive at the training site, you should stretch until formation time. Our warm-ups usually consist of calisthenics and total body flexibility exercises to prepare your system for the upcoming session, and we culminate with exercises to cool the body down. In addition, you will enjoy the combination of personal attention and social interaction that the Rialto Wellness Instructors format allows.

What if I can’t perform a certain exercise?

We will give you modified, low-impact drills as an alternative to strengthen your body so that you will be able to condition weak area.

Will you yell at us? I’m scared!

We only yell motivating, positive affirmations, uplifting quotes, and we convince, not confront. We aim to keep you focused on the task at hand. Abuse, harassment – we don’t go there, even if you want us to. If you want verbal abuse, Rialto Wellness Boot Camps are not the place.  For positive reinforcement, however, come and enjoy the camaraderie of a
non-competitive group workout at a Rialto Wellness Boot Camp.

What about the weather?

During inclement weather – too hot, too cold, raining, etc. – we will reschedule activities indoors or to the next day unless otherwise notified.  We will notify you via email and there will be a number you call to verify if boot camp class has be canceled and rescheduled.

Who can/should attend?

Rialto Wellness Boot Camp is designed for all fitness levels. You don’t have to be fit to start. Our assessments are based upon basic physical fitness standards. This means you compete against set norms for your age/gender. We establish a baseline during week one, with the 2 minute pushup, 2 minute sit up, and 1 mile run. Also, we perform body fat analysis. We will guide you with finding your resting and target heart rates, blood pressure, girth measurement, and assist you with information for your nutritional goals.

What are the times available?

Once you’ve registered as a Rialto Wellness Boot Camp participant, you should attend all of the scheduled classes per week.  You can participate at the other locations during the 4-5 weeks of training if you need to make up for your busy lifestyle. (Example: Your parent location is Cherry Creek/Lowry at 0600 AM, M/W/F. However, you’re out of town Wednesday to Friday. You can attend another location to make up for your busy lifestyle). We DARE you to get your money’s worth!
